Before law school, Matt and Tracy were both traveling abroad. Little did they know, they were dancing at Zoe In Yellow in Chiang Mai, Thailand on the very same night, but they somehow never crossed paths.

August 24, 2017
One month later, Matt and Tracy met at their first law school bar review and discovered their fateful near miss in Thailand. Apparently, things weren't meant to be quite yet. They quickly realized they had a lot in common and became fast friends.

September 16, 2018
After months of “will they, won't they,” knowing looks from friends, and what was obvious to everyone except them, Matt and Tracy finally made it official.

August 2019
Between their second and third years of law school, Matt and Tracy spent a glorious month exploring Greece together. Tracy met many cute stray cats along the way, planting the earliest seeds of her growing cat-lady tendencies.

May 15, 2020
Matt and Tracy graduated from law school during COVID-19. They acclimated to Zoom classes, a virtual graduation ceremony, distanced hangouts. Though they was a lot of uncertainty about what came next, they were certain they would overcome it together.

October 3, 2020
While studying for the bar exam on a remote Christmas tree farm in McMinnville, Tennessee, Matt and Tracy (and Olive) heard tiny meows coming from under their porch. They investigated and found a kitten. Matt rescued her. Bar exam studies were promptly abandoned. They bathed her, fed her treats, and discovered that she loved Olive's dog food and fried chicken. Matt decided on a name for her (Minnie, short for McMinnville) and the kitten officially joined the family.

February 14, 2021 
Matt and Tracy drove from Atlanta to New York City with their dog, cat, and half of their belongings. After navigating narrow New York streets in a U-Haul, and the icy steps of their new Chelsea walk-up, they walked down the street to Cookshop to celebrate Valentine's Day. They were tired (and a little smelly) but very happy.

September 19, 2025
After a whirlwind year celebrating several friends' weddings, Matt decided to squeeze in a proposal of his own. He arranged a surprise trip and simply told Tracy to bring her passport. Tracy, ever the planner and suspicious of nothing, packed outfits exclusively in white and cream. During their 7-year anniversary weekend, Matt proposed while the two were stargazing beneath the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies. Tracy was so starstruck (no pun intended) that she didn't even realize Matt was down on one knee. Matt forgot his speech. Tracy said yes.

Matt and Tracy move to Los Angeles just in time to dodge the winter!

June 12, 2027
We'll return to the same spot where we got engaged (Enchantment Circle) to begin our next chapter together. While the stars won't be out yet, we'll be surrounded by the same red rocks, the same place, and (most importantly) the people we love most. We're so excited for whatever comes next.
